Why Whisper Studio is a platform for sound artists and multimedia performers, founded by Rafael Zen and Khalil Alomar through their collaborations in video art, immersive environments, and live performance in Vancouver, Canada.

​

We curate and host DURATIONS, a festival dedicated to emerging voices in sound performance, new media, and experimental art that connects venues with artists, offering cost-free support to showcase works-in-progress.

​

As a creative community, we develop + direct performances rooted in sound theatre, noise and glitch aesthetics, experimental scores, DIY technologies, improvisational music, sound poetry, speculative futures, and decolonial storytelling.

Why Whisper is a space to test new ideas, support works-in-progress, foster collaboration, and bring together media and performance artists with independent venues and curious audiences.
